Sandpoint is 0-9 against Post Falls since May of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will host the Trojans at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Sandpoint turned things around against Lewiston on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bengals 14-12.

Marlee Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and six unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She also set a new season-high mark in runs with three.
At the plate, Sandpoint saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Wilson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Wilson a new career-high. Another was Baylie Hindle, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
Meanwhile, Post Falls got the win against Bonners Ferry on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-1. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.
Sienna Williams was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Summer Dan was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Post Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Post Falls is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Sandpoint, their victory bumped their record up to 5-17.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sandpoint has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Post Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Sandpoint couldn't quite finish off Post Falls in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 17-15. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
