The Montcalm Generals will square off against the PikeView Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Montcalm turned things around against Hurley on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Rebel Soldiers.

Adasyn Havens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Peyton White was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe LaRue, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, PikeView got the win against James Monroe on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-3. Considering the Panthers have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
PikeView also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Shelby Maddox gave up just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. Maddox has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emma Compton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Emma Weiss was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Montcalm's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for PikeView, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Montcalm has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like PikeView struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Montcalm suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to PikeView in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Generals have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
