The Delphi Community Oracles will head out on the road to face off against the Lewis Cass Kings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Delphi Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Delphi Community had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Taylor on Wednesday. The Oracles put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 15-1 victory. The Oracles haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Mairi Cunningham made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lewis Cass, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Manchester 12-11.
Like Delphi Community, Lewis Cass also got a great game from a two-way player: Ruth (Amma) Fitzhugh. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits. Fitzhugh was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Lewis Cass got a massive performance out of Maddie Lynch, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Shay Dishner, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Lewis Cass hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Delphi Community's record is now 11-8. As for Lewis Cass, their record now sits at 8-9.
Lewis Cass' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Delphi Community has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Lewis Cass, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Delphi Community's sizable advantage in that area, the Kings will need to find a way to close that gap.
Delphi Community might still be hurting after the 14-6 loss they got from Lewis Cass in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Oracles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
