The Rock Lions can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 77-55 margin over Union County. Winning may never get old, but The Rock sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Union County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gavin Jenkins. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with seven steals and two blocks. Johnte Nichols was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
The Rock's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Union County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
The Rock won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Trenton is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Union County, they will square off against the Bulldogs at TBD on Tuesday.
