Southwest waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lake Nona Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Lake Nona's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Serrano, who had 28 assists, and Zack Dehaan, who had 12 digs. With that strong performance, Dehaan is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Southwest's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Lake Nona, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Southwest has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Creekside on the 4th. As for Lake Nona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Archbishop McCarthy on the 4th.
