McKenzie has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in McKenzie's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
McKenzie is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Collinwood 55-6. With the Rebels ahead 47-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Cole Brown was his usual excellent self, rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 158 yards and one TD. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss). 82 of Brown's passing yards were hauled in by Jacobi Melton.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: McKenzie was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 367 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
McKenzie's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Lelan Gordon, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Liberty Tech Magnet 39-24 on Friday.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's win came from a few key players McKenzie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Korbin Brown, who rushed for 134 yards and one score while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Those 134 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Braxton Howard was another key player, throwing for 119 yards and four TDs.
McKenzie pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Everything came up roses for McKenzie against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-7 win. In that contest, the Rebels amassed a halftime lead of 62-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
