The West Lincoln Rebels will be playing at home against the Foard Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, West Lincoln took a serious blow against East Lincoln, falling 73-28. West Lincoln has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though Foard has not done well against Newton-Conover recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Foard took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 62-29 victory over Newton-Conover. With that win, Foard brought their scoring average up to 55 points per game.
Foard found their leader in underclassman Jessica Bailey , who scored 15 points along with 5 steals. Imani Ikard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
West Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Foard, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
West Lincoln won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, slipping by Foard 55-54. Will West Lincoln repeat their success, or does Foard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
