It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but LaCrosse had no problem doing just that on Monday. They breezed past the St. Francis Indians to the tune of 53-12. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LaCrosse to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Morgan, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Morgan is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Molly Showalter, who posted 14 points and six steals.
LaCrosse smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.
LaCrosse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. St. Francis' loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-18.
As of now, neither LaCrosse nor St. Francis have any future games scheduled.
