The Justin-Siena Braves had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 39-21 victory over St. Patrick-St. Vincent on Saturday. The victory was just what Justin-Siena needed coming off of a 42-12 loss in their prior contest.
Justin-Siena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Sangiacomo, who threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Thomas Malloy, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, St. Patrick-St. Vincent saw an underclassman step up: Moise Henderson rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
Justin-Siena's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.
Justin-Siena will head out on the road to face off against Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Sonoma Valley is ranked 593rd, while Justin-Siena is ranked 608th). As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vallejo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
