Heritage had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Deer Valley Wolverines a 12-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Tuesday.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Deer Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Deer Valley, they will challenge Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
