Sayani Long Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Granite Hills's Sayani Long, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Long rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101.6). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
This season, Long has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 101.6 rushing yards per game.

Nicholas Gaoa Delivers Best Effort of Season
Nicholas Gaoa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Barstow to the win on Friday. Gaoa rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (115.8). Those 205 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Barstow pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Gaoa and Barstow will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Silverado at 7:00 p.m. on October 24th.

Williams Made His Presence Known in Barstow's 32-7 Victory
Keeping Gaoa company is Dwayne Williams, a fellow Barstow player. He rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Victor Valley's probably not too fond of Williams given he always seems to get the better of them. Williams rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes the last time he and the Jackrabbits duked it out back in October of 2023.

Silverado Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Jace Weiss
Silverado picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jace Weiss. Weiss was dynamite, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Silverado's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3. Weiss and Silverado will face off against Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Vic Villa Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Vic Villa of Victor Valley. Villa's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
Victor Valley moved to 5-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Villa and Victor Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Granite Hills at 7:00 p.m.
