The Cloverleaf Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Cloverleaf's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Hibler, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, and Saige Foky who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hibler posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Seiwerth, who scored 11 points.
Cloverleaf's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Norton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Cloverleaf will head out on the road to face off against Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Norton will be home for the holidays to greet Ravenna at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ravenna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 590th, while Norton is ranked 275th).
