Adding to the longest winning streak in 1A Conference 6 this week, West Montgomery beat North Moore 56-16. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Chatham Central lost to Albemarle 63-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Antonio Williams provided a threat through the air and on the ground as North Stanly beat Bishop McGuinness. Williams' key target this week was Zac Almond, who caught 2 passes for 74 yards.

Timmie White was the best receiver in the league this week as the Bulldogs beat the Bears. White tallied 3 receptions for 138 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place West Montgomery takes on second place North Stanly. Last week, West Montgomery bested the Mustangs, while the Comets topped the Villains.
Next week's game between Union Academy and Albemarle will feature an aerial matchup as Craig Twele tests his arm against Terrace Ellis's defensive ability. Union Academy's Twele has recorded 1,760 yards and 25 touchdowns this year, while Seth Smith's team's Ellis has 7 interceptions to his name.
North Stanly made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,294 from 8,870. The advance stemmed from a 27-14 victory over Bishop McGuinness last week.
