It was another big night for JAMES JOHNSON, who rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. Rah'keith Kelly and his 133 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Douglas County's win.
Meanwhile, Woodward Academy and Gainesville (ranked 73 and 71 in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile game. Woodward Academy skirted past Gainesville 20-17.
Douglas County has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points per game. As for Woodward Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
