Basketball Recap: East Texas Homeschool Sports Falls Despite Big Games from Will Mason and Micah Dragoo

If East Texas Homeschool Sports was feeling good fresh off their 68-36 takedown of Harmony last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Texas Homeschool Sports Chargers fell just short of the Tyler Legacy Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Chargers were not able to get on the board.

Despite the loss, East Texas Homeschool Sports had strong showings from Micah Dragoo, who went 10 for 17 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists, and Will Mason, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. The game was Mason's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Fruge, who posted three points and 12 rebounds.

With the defeat, East Texas Homeschool Sports broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7. As for Tyler Legacy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

East Texas Homeschool Sports will venture away from home to challenge Marshall Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Texas Homeschool Sports is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. As for Tyler Legacy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-46 win against Forney on the 27th.
