The Bayless Bronchos will head out to face off against the Affton Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Bayless' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
Bayless came out on top against Crossroads on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run first inning. The Bronchos were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Current. The victory continues a trend for the Bronchos in their matchups with the Current: they've now won nine in a row.
Aiden Engert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bayless was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Affton duked it out with Northwest on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Lions, falling 14-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carter Kimmel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
Affton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bayless, their record now sits at 14-6.
Bayless skirted past Affton 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bronchos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
