Crimson Cliffs is a perfect 8-0 against Hurricane since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Crimson Cliffs will be playing at home against Hurricane at 7:30 p.m. Crimson Cliffs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
While Crimson Cliffs' win against Kanab wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Crimson Cliffs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over Kanab on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since March 8th.

MASON ANDERSON looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last five matches.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on MCKAY WRIGHT, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JOSH GRAY, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Crimson Cliffs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hurricane didn't have quite enough to beat Cedar on Friday and fell 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hurricane saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Fitzgerald, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
Crimson Cliffs has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Crimson Cliffs has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hurricane struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Crimson Cliffs' way against Hurricane in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Crimson Cliffs made off with an 11-0 win. Will Crimson Cliffs repeat their success, or does Hurricane has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
