The Genoa-Kingston Cogs won the last time they faced the Plano Reapers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Genoa-Kingston came out on top in a nail-biter against the Reapers and snuck past 44-42.
When it comes to explaining why Plano lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josie Larson. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Aleksa Martinez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Genoa-Kingston's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Plano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genoa-Kingston will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Plano, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Harvard is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
