Basketball Recap: Annapolis Christian Academy Skates Past School of the Woods with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Annapolis Christian Academy). They blew past the School of the Woods Wildcats 62-26 on Saturday. Annapolis Christian Academy's win was all the more impressive since the Wildcats were averaging only 27.43 points allowed on the season.

Despite the defeat, School of the Woods had strong showings from Sarah DeZevallos, who posted 15 points, and Gabi Guillen, who had five points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Guillen a new career-high in blocks (two).

The victory made it two in a row for Annapolis Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-9. As for School of the Woods, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Annapolis Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Incarnate Word Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for School of the Woods, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bob Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
