The Liberty Christian Warriors put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Trinity Christian 49-7 at home. Fans of Liberty Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Among those leading the charge was Cole Welliver, who threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Welliver is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Garnett, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Liberty Christian's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.
Liberty Christian will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Dunne at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Bishop Dunne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 886th, while Liberty Christian is ranked 29th). Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
