Pine Creek has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pine Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Pine Creek narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trojans 34-31.
Blake Marshall was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydan Bowling, who scored six points.
Pine Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Pine Creek have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Fountain-Fort Carson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
