Baseball Recap: Oconto Falls Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Oconto Falls extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 10-2 in the process. They came out on top against the Waupaca Comets by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 on Tuesday.

As for Waupaca, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs.

For Waupaca's part, AJ McDonald and Max Dolski did some serious damage despite the final result: McDonald went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Dolski went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that McDonald has hit this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oconto Falls will host Clintonville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Truckers at the right time seeing as the Truckers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Waupaca, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denmark at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
