The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks will play host again and welcome the Arnold Marlins, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Port St. Joe beat Wewahitchka 50-46.
Port St. Joe found their leader in underclassman KK McNair, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McNair has scored all season. Jayla Hill was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Arnold strolled past Bay with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-34.
Arnold's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashley Steen led the charge by scoring 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylee Tolbert-Stewart, who scored 12 points.
Port St. Joe's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Arnold, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Port St. Joe couldn't quite finish off Arnold when the teams last played back in November of 2019 and fell 40-38. Thankfully for Port St. Joe, Karen Jones (who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
