Cobden can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers by a score of 2-0. The Appleknockers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Cobden easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18.

Alivia Kilpatrick paced Cobden's offense, picking up six kills. Kilpatrick got some help from Amelia Long and her 12 assists. Long was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Joppa-Maple Grove had strong showings from Kieran Presser, who had 12 digs, and Addison Miller, who had eight digs and two aces.

Cobden's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Joppa-Maple Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Cobden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Agape Christian on the 25th. As for Joppa-Maple Grove, after both having extra time off, they and Northside Baptist Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
