Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Briggs). They came out on top against the KIPP Columbus Jaguars by a score of 53-46 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bruins as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Briggs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Damian Phoubaykham out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards. Troy Johnson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Briggs' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for KIPP Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Briggs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-46 loss against West on the 13th. KIPP Columbus has also already played their next game, an 84-26 victory against Cristo Rey on the 12th.
