The Pahrump Valley Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 51-17 win over Virgin Valley at home. Considering Pahrump Valley has won seven matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Avery Moore, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Paris Coleman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Pahrump Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Virgin Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahrump Valley will challenge Mohave Accelerated at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mohave Accelerated is on a four-game streak of home wins, Pahrump Valley a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Virgin Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Las Vegas at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Las Vegas comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
