It was a good run, but the Cleveland Blue Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 61-50 to Bradley Central. The matchup was a 30-30 toss-up at halftime, but Cleveland couldn't quite close it out.
Despite the loss, Cleveland still got an impressive performance from Callie Brewer, who scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brewer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Smith, who scored nine points.
Cleveland's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Bradley Central, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Cleveland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Rhea County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Bradley Central, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. McMinn Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully the Bears like a good challenge.
