Even though the Carolina Academy Trojans scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Broome Centurions still came out on top. Broome walked away with a 68-60 win over Carolina Academy. This was payback for Broome, who suffered a 66-52 loss the last time these two teams met.
Ja'Coreyun Broadus continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lance Henderson, who scored 14 points.
The win got Broome back to even at 10-10. As for Carolina Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broome will take on Chapman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapman and Broome are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Carolina Academy, they will be playing at home against Greenville H at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
