The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Los Fresnos Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial.
Meanwhile, Los Fresnos unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harlingen. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Los Fresnos' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gio Galvan, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists, and Andrew Munoz who scored 22 points along with 5 rebounds. The match was Galvan's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Eric Salazar was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Harvest Christian's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's loss dropped theirs to 4-8.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North came up short against Los Fresnos in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 61-52. Thankfully for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, Luis Ramirez (who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
