The Oliver Springs Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oakdale and snuck past 80-77. The victory was just what Oliver Springs needed coming off of a 71-32 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oliver Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Wright, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wright has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Javen Barger, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Oliver Springs' victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Oakdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Oliver Springs will head out on the road to challenge Coalfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakdale, they will play host again and welcome Rockwood, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rockwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
