White River Valley is 2-8 against Shakamak since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The White River Valley Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the Shakamak Lakers at 7:30 p.m. Shakamak took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on White River Valley, who comes in off a win.
After only 24 points in their last contest, White River Valley made sure to put some points up on the board against Crothersville on Saturday. Everything went White River Valley's way against Crothersville as White River Valley made off with a 59-33 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory White River Valley has posted since November 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, Shakamak came up short against North Daviess on Friday and fell 47-38. While losing is never fun, Shakamak can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while North Daviess is ranked 118th).
White River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Shakamak, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-7.
White River Valley came up short against Shakamak in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 43-38. Can White River Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
