Liberty has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sierra recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Chieftains at 4:00 p.m. Liberty is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
Sierra's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Liberty hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Hawks never let Yosemite get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Hawks have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Macie Webster made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Leilah Uriarte and Malorie Chapman did most of the damage at the plate: Uriarte went 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple, while Chapman went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. That's the most runs Uriarte has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Jimenez, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Sierra got the win against Madera South on Thursday by a conclusive 12-2.
Sierra got a massive performance out of Dixie Dow, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Jaylee JacksonRiley also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Sierra kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Liberty's record is now 13-11. As for Sierra, their record now sits at 8-12.
Liberty beat Sierra 8-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chieftains turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
