The Alief Hastings Bears can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Alief Elsik 66-28 on the road. That looming 66-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Alief Hastings yet this season.
Alief Hastings was led to victory by Melinda Winston and Amyah Weathersby. Winston dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Weathersby dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. Weathersby has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Favour Emeka, who scored nine points.
Alief Hastings now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Alief Elsik, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-19 record this season.
Alief Hastings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alief Elsik will head out on the road to face off against the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alvin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
