Weir won the last time they faced Oak Glen and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Riders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Golden Bears a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Red Riders have won by just one run.

The result came thanks to Mathew Geer's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Weir saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick DiMatteis, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Weir has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Oak Glen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Weir has already played their next matchup, a 10-2 defeat against The Linsly School on the 25th. As for Oak Glen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Shadyside on the 27th.
