The Bret Harte Bullfrogs will take on the Calaveras Red Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Calaveras took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bret Harte, who comes in off a win.
If Bret Harte beats Calaveras with six runs on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Bullfrogs came out on top against Amador by a score of 6-3 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bullfrogs.

The team relied heavily on Landon Camacho, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Calaveras fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bret Harte on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bullfrogs by a score of 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Joey Sweet was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, Kaeden Hudson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Masson Powers, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
Bret Harte's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Calaveras, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bret Harte has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Calaveras struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bret Harte came out on top in a nail-biter against Calaveras in their previous matchup on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bullfrogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
