If the Frankfort Panthers were feeling good off their 60-19 takedown of the Cedarville Trojans last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Frankfort was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 30-29 to Glen Lake. Frankfort lost against Glen Lake in their previous head to head back in March, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-27 score last time.
Glen Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eleanor Valkner led the charge by scoring four points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ava Raymond, who scored nine points.
Frankfort now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Glen Lake, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankfort will be home for the holidays to greet Manistee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glen Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Brethren at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
