Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Altha). Everything went their way against the Sneads Pirates on Friday as they made off with a 20-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Tarrin McCrone was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5.
In other batting news, Altha let Hope Tanner and Reagan Roberts run wild. Tanner scored three runs while going 4-for-5, while Roberts scored five runs while going 2-for-4.
