The Dumas Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Kermit by a score of 34-32.
Ebbin Mallory was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Mallory is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leylani Quiroz, who scored 9 points along with 5 steals.
Dumas' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Kermit, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Dumas will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Ozona at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Ozona will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Kermit, they will be playing at home against Jal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
