The Holyoke Dragons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by St. Francis on the road to the tune of 68-20. That's another feather in the cap for Holyoke, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Holyoke to victory were Cash Weber and Wyatt Sprague. Weber scored 14 points along with 4 steals, while Sprague scored 18 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Sprague, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Holyoke's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Holyoke will be playing in front of their home fans against Burlington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Francis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wichita County at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th.
