The Imani Christian Academy Saints won the last time they faced the Aquinas Academy Crusaders, and things went their way on Friday too. Imani Christian Academy blew past the Crusaders 80-48 at home. Given Imani Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Crusaders are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Nate Brazil, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 assists. It was the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Avery Wesley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Imani Christian Academy's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-10. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.7 points. As for Aquinas Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Imani Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Neighborhood Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Aquinas Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
