Baseball Recap: Grady Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Grady entered their tilt with Logan on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Longhorns. Considering the Bronchos have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Grady let Deakin Ragland and Hays Rush run wild. Ragland went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Rush got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Rush has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caden Croy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Grady was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Grady's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Logan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Grady wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-2 loss against Magdalena on the 25th. As for Logan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-6 win against Cimarron on the 25th.
