The Brookfield Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 77-61 victory over Masuk. The victory was some much needed relief for Brookfield as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Shane Weber, who scored 33 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brookfield's points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Horton, who scored 16 points.
Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Masuk, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Brookfield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Notre Dame Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. One thing working in Notre Dame Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games. As for Masuk, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Milford is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
