After a string of three wins, the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 64-42 walloping at the hands of Hammond.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Anderson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him. Harrison Skinner was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Hilton Head Christian Academy's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3. As for Hammond, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Hilton Head Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hammond won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hilton Head Prep at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Hilton Head Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
