Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Little Cypress-Mauriceville couldn't push the score so high this time.
Rickey Stewart got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Stewart was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Demetrius Brisbon jr also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Little Cypress-Mauriceville's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Chapel Hill, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Little Cypress-Mauriceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chapel Hill will face off against El Campo at TBD on Friday. El Campo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 367th, while Chapel Hill is ranked 101st).
