The result was an unpleasant reminder to Corner Canyon of the  13-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
  Olivia Broderick was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 4-for-4 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bently Paynter, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and a  triple.
 Corner Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lone Peak, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corner Canyon will  face off against Riverton at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Riverton is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.1  runs per game  this season. As for Lone Peak, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Lehi at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Lehi's favor as the  squad sits on three straight wins at home while Lone Peak has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
