Brethren Christian will be defending their home turf for the first time on Saturday when they go up against Sage Hill at 11:00 AM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Brethren Christian had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-35 punch to the gut against Rolling Hills Prep last Friday.
Meanwhile, Sage Hill took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against North Valley Military Institute last week as they made off with a 52-22 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-8.
Sage Hill's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Brethren Christian's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Sage Hill can add another positive mark to their record or if Brethren Christian can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Sage Hill's step.
