St. Joseph is a perfect 5-0 against Living Word Lutheran since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lancers will challenge the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. St. Joseph will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
St. Joseph is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Brookfield Academy 38-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lancers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Blue Knights are ranked 266th).

A big part of St. Joseph's victory came down to the chemistry between Zach Rizzo and his top target Dominic Rinaldi. Rizzo threw for 139 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Rinaldi picked up 52 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Rinaldi posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for St. Joseph, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Christopher Kenesie, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
St. Joseph's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Devin Brown and Sincere Williams, who racked up six sacks between them. St. Joseph received some extra help from Dante Williams, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Living Word Lutheran got themselves on the board against Catholic Central on Friday, but Catholic Central never followed suit. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over the Hilltoppers. The Timberwolves pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hilltoppers had no chance of recovering from.
St. Joseph better keep an eye on Gavin Weissenburger. He was instrumental in Living Word Lutheran's win, rushing for 63 yards and two scores, while also picking up 71 receiving yards and one TD. Weissenburger also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Markus Griffin was in the mix too, providing Living Word Lutheran with one touchdown.
Living Word Lutheran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Chip Fox was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself. Living Word Lutheran received some extra help from Griffin, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
St. Joseph's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Living Word Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Everything came up roses for St. Joseph against Living Word Lutheran when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 64-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
