The Clarendon Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Wheeler Mustangs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
After a string of three wins, Clarendon's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Wellington 45-39.
Wheeler posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Quanah 37-35. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Wheeler has scored all year.
It was another big night for Austin Adkins, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Barrett Meadows was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Clarendon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Wheeler, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.
Clarendon beat Wheeler 54-43 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Clarendon repeat their success, or does Wheeler have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
