Blountstown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayin Martin led the charge by rushing for 82 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Martin has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Jones, who threw for 61 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Blountstown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Blountstown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Bowen Barber led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, Northview came up short against Jay on Friday and fell 28-20. While the Chiefs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Royals 14-7.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Blountstown has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 435 total yards per game. It's a different story for Northview, though, as they've been averaging only 244.9 total yards. Will Blountstown be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Chiefs flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Blountstown against Northview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 38-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
