Given Overhills' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Eagles are ranked 624th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Overhills was led to victory by Ja?von Motta and Chauncy Kelly. Motta scored 17 points, while Kelly scored 13 points along with six assists and four steals. Motta continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The timing is sure in Triton's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by 17 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
